Glen V. Cutrona, AIA is the President and CEO of Cutrona Architecture PLLC, an award-winning architectural firm engaged in the practice of architecture, interior design and space planning. The Firm’s expertise encompasses many scopes of work varying from new construction, additions, alterations, and interior renovations for residential, commercial, retail, corporate, manufacturing, hospitality, educational, religious and medical projects. The Firm practices regionally as Mr. Cutrona is licensed in both New York and New Jersey and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
With over 35 years of experience within the architectural community working for major architectural/engineering firms as a project manager and as a principal, Mr. Cutrona’s responsibilities have included all phases of the architectural design process.
The culture of the Firm includes a commitment to providing innovative design solutions for their clientele without compromising the belief that our lives are greatly affected by the integrity of the built environment in which we live, work and play. The Firm’s corporate office is a great example of their design prowess, setting a stage for inviting clients to witness first hand their imaginative approach to design. As the Firm continues to grow, so does Mr. Cutrona’s professional and community affiliations. In addition to becoming a member of the AIA/Staten Island, he has been a member of the AIA/Brooklyn chapter since 1989 and has served on multiple committees including the Scholarship Dinner Dance Committee, Board of Directors, Executive Board as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and as President 2001 through 2003 and again in 2016. He has also served on the AIA/150 Committee as its Chair and represented the Chapter for multiple years as state director/delegate.
Serving as an Executive Board member of the World Trade Center Task Force for the New York City Department of Buildings, Mr. Cutrona was part of an eleven-person board responsible for studying and recommending revisions to the New York City Building Code in response to the events of
September 11, 2001. Those recommendations are now a matter of law. He also served as a professional member of the International Building Code (IBC) Committee, which contributed to the adoption of the 2008 New York City Building Code.
Joining the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce (SICC) in 1996, Mr. Cutrona has served on multiple committees and was co-Chairman of the Louis R. Miller Business Leadership Awards Committee 2005 through 2016. He has served as a long-standing member of the Board of Directors, Executive Board and recently as Chairman of the SICC Board 2016 through 2018. He is currently serving a two-year term as the Chairman of the SICC Foundation Board.
As a twenty-seven-year member and past president of the Bucks Business Network, a club designed to bring professionals and private business owners together to share ideas and information to help their businesses grow, he developed his appetite for sound business principles that he has applied, and which guides his practice.
Selected from a wide field of entrepreneurs in 2012, he attended and successfully completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.
Mr. Cutrona is married and has two children. He enjoys playing and teaching the guitar.
