Stanley Michael Krebushevski, R.A. (Stan Kay) is not new to AIASI. Stan’s entire professional career has been centered in New York City with his primary focus on Staten Island. His design work is seen in numerous Staten Island projects.
Stan established his own firm in 1990 and initially joined AIA in1991. He is professionally licensed in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The firm can boast three decades of experience in design and consultation,primarily for builders and developers in the New York and New Jersey area. Stan specializes in multifamily residential, commercial and mixed-use design. The scope of the projects in the office range from single family custom homes to large scale developments.Although the projects are diverse in size and scope, each one receives the utmost in personal service.
Stan has participated on numerous building and zoning code committees for AIASI over the years, as well as special projects as they arise. After Hurricane Sandy, Stan vigorously worked on many different levels to rebuild Staten Island. He participated in the Borough President’s “SI Quikstart” program, evaluating flood damaged homes and guiding homeowners through the rebuilding process.
Stan served on the NYCDOB 2008 Code Revision Committee for Use, Occupancy and Egressto review and develop amendments to the New York City Construction Code as part of a mandated three-year code revision cycle. He is currently serving on the NYCDOB 2014 Code Revision Committee.
He has served on the AIASI Technical Affairs Committee for over a decade and is currently the chairperson of that committee. Stan is also involvedin the AIASI Energy Code, Parks Department and Department of City Planning Committees.Stan is currently part of the AIASI Executive Committee and serves as Treasurer.
Stan is also a member of other industry related organizations. He is a member of the Building Industry Association of New York City and participates on their Department of Buildings, Department of City Planning, Department of Parks and Recreation and Fire Department Committees. Stan serves on the BIANYC Board of Directors and was recently named 2017 Associate of the Year.
As a member of these committees, Stan’s primary focus is to work in union to foster common goals of both organizations.
